Costumes

Costume the Capulets

Don't you just hate those Montagues? This amount helps fund the costume pieces for Lord & Lady Capulet, as well as any extended family and most of the servants on their side.

Don't you just hate those Capulets? This amount helps fund the costume pieces for Lord & Lady Montague, as well as any extended family and servants on their side.

Costume the Innocents

Most people either forget or don't realize there is a third family present in Romeo & Juliet. This amount helps fund the costume pieces for the Prince, Mercutio, and Paris, who are all related!

Costume the Fates

Who are these mystical singers appearing and disappearing at significant moments in the play? This amount helps fund the costume pieces for the actors paying homage to the Greek Fates.

Costume Romeo

"But soft! What light through yonder window breaks? It is the east, and Juliet is the sun." This amount helps fund all of Romeo's costume pieces, including shirts, pants, shoes, and more.

Costume the Caregivers

Providing care and guiding Romeo & Juliet on their journeys isn't easy, but someone has to do it. This amount helps fund the costume pieces for Friar Laurence & the Nurse.

Set & Lights

Build the Curtains

Curtains allow us to create portable backstage areas as we travel from venue to venue, where actors can change costumes, await their cue, and prepare for their scene. This amount helps fund those curtains.

Light the Lights

Portable standing lights mean Shared Radiance can keep the show going even after the sun sets at an outdoor venue. This amount helps fund those lights.

Illuminate the Torches

This production will use handheld lights during the Queen Mab speech and the scene where Paris visits Juliet's tomb. This amount helps fund those lights.

Props

Help Romeo Get to Juliet

Romeo needs a way to get to Juliet so they can run away together. This amount helps fund a rope ladder.

Pour the Drinks

The Capulet masquerade ball is a pivotal moment in the play, as it is where Romeo & Juliet meet for the first time. A few spirits could liven the atmosphere and help everyone relax so no fights break out. This amount helps fund the beverages (which are not actually alcoholic) for the masquerade scene.

Pick Friar Laurence's Basket of Herbs

Shakespeare created a character deeply connected to nature and medicine in Friar Laurence. This amount helps fund the basket and herbs Friar Laurence would use to create potions and tinctures.

This goal has been met by Tammy Willcox, made in memory of Russ Giles and Scott Hunter!


Send the Letters
$5 per Letter or $15 for All
Letters play an important role in driving the plot of several Shakespeare plays, and Romeo & Juliet is no different. This amount helps fund the letters sent by various characters throughout the show.

$5 has already been raised towards this goal by Chris Adams!


Mix the Sleeping Potion

"Take thou this vial, being then in bed, and this distilling liquor drink thou off . . . No warmth, no breath, shall testify thou livest." - Friar Laurence, Act IV, Scene I. This amount helps fund the distilling liquor Juliet drinks as part of her escape plan.

Fan the Nurse

It's hard work being a nurse (especially if you're working in the outdoors in North Carolina in May & June)! She needs a fan to cool off. This amount helps fund the Nurse's fan.

Are You a Lover or a Fighter?

Sharpen the Swords

There are several fights in Romeo & Juliet. This amount helps fund the swords used in those fights.

Give Juliet Her Ring

Rings were often given as a sign of attraction, affection, or love in Shakespeare's time. This amount helps fund the ring Romeo gives to Juliet.

Serenade the Lovers
$30
Music is a longstanding tradition in Shakespearean plays, and songs help punctuate meaningful moments. This amount helps fund the sheet music the actors use to learn the songs.

Deliver the Daggers
$15
The ancient feud between the Montagues & Capulets takes on many forms. This amount helps fund the daggers used in the stage combat for the show.

Showtime

Fund the Venues

This production will tour to eight different sites in an effort to reach as many audiences as possible. This amount helps fund fees for the Thomasville Woman's Club, the Greensboro Cultural Center, Oak Ridge Town Park, and Paul J. Ciener Botanical Garden.

Programs help inform audiences on the cast, crew, and creative team of the production, as well as Shared Radiance overall and all of our supporters. You can be included in the program simply by donating to this campaign! This amount helps fund the printing costs of the programs.

Hydrate the Cast
